2008 WEB PROGRAM
When: July 20th - July 25,

This program has been designed to provide Physical/Life Science or Engineering graduate students with an introduction to entrepreneurship and the tools, skills and issues faced in technology entrepreneurship.
About the Program:
WEB focuses on three domains of technology entrepreneurship, including how to:
| 1. Imagine, create and assess opportunities. (Using multiple lenses such as viable business models and intellectual property issues.) | 2. Develop resources for organization & strategy. (Form teams, seek funding). | 3. Use accounting and finance (As language and assessment tool). |
For all content areas, WEB offers specific opportunities to:
| *Develop the student's ability to use practical tools | *Deepen the student's conceptual ability to explore fundamental links between tech and business | *Broaden the student's factual knowledge about technology strategy and entrepreneurship. |
As a WEB student you will work with case analyses, lectures, expert panels, specialized experimental exercises in financial and market assessments, and lively social events.

You will not be able to return to an incomplete application, so before you begin you may find it helpful to prepare in advance your answers to the following questions:
1. Current degree program
2. Past degrees
3. Your responsibilities in current job (if employed)
4. Faculty sponsorship (while not required, it is beneficial if you have one)
5. Prior business or entrepreneurial experiences
6. Why you are interested in this program, how it fits your goals.
You must complete the entire survey and submit it to be in the consideration set for admission. If you are ready, apply here.
Application Deadline: May 31, 2008
Competitive admissions with limited seats. Must be enrolled at UW-Madison. Physical, life sciences or Engineering graduate students or post docs preferred.
