Scott Braucht

Scott Braucht is the President and Founder of Scott Braucht & Associates, a professional fundraising and management services company based in Madison, Wisconsin. He specializes in four areas of focus: non-profit fundraising, marketing, business development and sales. Scott has over 25 years of experience working with businesses, non-profit organizations and academic groups. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Communications and Education from Iowa State University, as well as an MBA in entrepreneurship from the UW-Madison School of Business. Scott was recently elected as Chair of the Iowa State University Alumni Association in Ames, Iowa. He has been a member of the board for five years and has served as a fundraiser for its new $10 million dollar Alumni Center. Previous professional positions include: Consulting Practice Partner at Smith & Gesteland CPAs and Business Consultants; Adjunct Faculty Associate at the UW-Madison School of Business; Vice President of Development at the Urban League of Greater Madison, Inc., and Director of Business Development and Sales at NorthStar Economics, Inc. Scott is a graduate of Leadership Greater Madison. He was elected to the Verona Area School District Board of Education in 2000 and served as its Vice President. In 1995, he was named among fifteen future Madison leaders under forty by In Business magazine. Scott is an active member of the HospiceCare Foundation, Inc. and its Planned Giving Committee, UW-Madison Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship Board of Directors, Association for Fundraising Professionals, Edgewood High School and Campus Grade School fundraising committees, and Christ Presbyterian Church. His mission, teaching, economic development and humanitarian travels have allowed him to travel in Mexico, Asia, and Africa. He is married to Mary Whitmore Braucht and has three sons. Two attend college at Duke University and Michigan; another is in high school at Edgewood. And yes, his current associates are his yellow Lab Lucky and his black Lab Lady. |
