John Neis is a Managing Director of Venture Investors LLC, an early stage venture capital firm with offices in Madison, Wisconsin and Ann Arbor, Michigan. John heads the firm's Health Care practice. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of three portfolio companies: Virent Energy Systems, Cellectar, and Deltanoid Pharmaceuticals. He was appointed by the Governor to the Board of the Wisconsin Technology Council, the science and technology advisor to Wisconsin's Governor and Legislature. In addition to serving on the Advisory Board of the Weinert Applied Ventures Program, he serves on the Dean's Advisory Board in the School of Business and the Advisory Board of Tandem Press in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. in finance from the University of Utah, and received a M.S. in Marketing and Finance from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
