"I spent two years with the Peace Corps in Costa Rica fostering small business development and managing a rural biogas energy project. My professional interests include web publishing and online advertising. I hope to enhance user experience on the internet with useful website concepts and increasingly targeted advertisements. "

Ryan Palmer

"Since receiving a finance degree from Brigham Young University five years ago, I have spent my professional life in real estate, beginning in multi-family, but then moving on to the leasing & management of office space in Madison, WI. I have spent a lot of time in small business and love the entrepreneurial environment. In real estate I became acquainted with the art and philosophy of sustainable building practices and renewable energy. I came to UW-Madison as it is a great incubator for those sorts of ideas and relationships. In the long run I hope to play a significant role in the spreading of wind farms on land and at sea across the globe."

Raghavendra "Prabhu" Ramamoorthy

"I hold an engineering degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani-India with a specialization in Electrical and Electronics. After graduation, I was a software engineer in Symbol Technologies Bangalore India (now a part of Motorola) for 14 months. I started my own IT company, Telesto Infotech, specializing in search-based products and service solutions. I am familiar with the outsourcing model and delivering the maximum leverage. My short term goal is to join a venture capital firm to better understand  financing, decision making and operating aspects of a startup. Other interests: in creative writing, blogging and working on proof of concept ideas. I am looking forward to maximizing my experience with the Entrepreneurship program at the UW-Madison and contributing to the program."

"I am originally from Northern Illinois and received my BA in Political Science from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. After graduation I spent six years in San Diego successfully moving up in Enterprise Rent a Car's Management Development Program. I was promoted to Area Sales Manager in Kansas City in 2004 and in 2007 was accepted to the Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Wisconsin. I plan to utilize my MBA by becoming a leader in the field of sustainable business."

Loren (Erik) Snyder

"My background is in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating from Colorado State University, I worked as a manufacturing engineer at Mueller, Inc. for about a year before pursuing my MS at Texas A&M University. After getting my MS from Texas A&M, I worked for the Institute for Advanced Technology, a non profit defense research institute affiliated with the University of Texas. I joined the Entrepreneurship program in order to learn the skills I will need to become a successful entrepreneur in the fields of green development, renewable energy, and sustainable lifestyle."

Kavi Turnbull

"My passion for start-up organizations and small businesses is what drew me to the UW-Madison's Weinert Center for Entrepreneurship. Few MBA programs provide the hands-on entrepreneurial experiences students participate in during the Weinert Center's program. Upon graduation I hope to leave working for my own company; I cannot imagine more supportive professors or program faculty helping me to achieve my goal than I have found here. "

Troy Vosseller

I am interested in pursuing a career at the crossroads of law and business. I am concurrently attending UW Law School, focusing on intellectual property and business law. With a Joint JD/MBA at UW, I am hoping to apply these different areas of knowledge to new business development. I look forward to my formal MBA education to aid me in the development of my current business - Sconnie Nation LLC - an apparel company dedicated to celebrating the Wisconsin lifestyle. Sconnie Nation was started in my dorm room and has grown to include an e-commerce and lifestyle web site (www.sconnie.com) and retail storefront (521 State St.). My ultimate goal is to help businesses of all sizes with legal and consulting services or start another company myself.
