TOLD Gift Provides Initial Funding Towards Naming the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate

The Center is pleased to recognize the generous gift from the TOLD Company and two board members and alumni: Michael Arneson and Bryant Wangard. During the late 1990’s, TOLD Company donated a property located in Eau Claire, WI to the UW Real Estate Program. Since this time, the property has generated enough cash flow to fund the Wangard Professorship, currently held by Professor Stephen Malpezzi. In 2005, the property was sold and the capital gains realized from the sale have created a fully funded chair for $1.5 million.

This year, TOLD, Arneson and Wangard donated $1.7 million to the Center, which has been earmarked as an initial contribution and a challenge toward naming the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate. The funds will be used for student project assistantships and Center expenses. In addition, Arneson contributed an additional $100,000 to the Center for scholarships for MBA students.

Bryant Wangard is a Partner in Wangard Properties (and former President of TOLD) and Mike Arneson is the Managing Principal for TOLD Development.
