Graaskamp Center Upgrades to New Location in Summer 2008
Thanks to donations from alumni and friends at the UW-Madison School of Business, the $40.5 million state-of-the-art addition to Grainger Hall will include a new home for the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate. The redesigned center is projected to be twice the size of the current Center space, and have a larger designated area for real estate MBA students.
With the help of funds from a group of generous Wisconsin real estate alums, we've been working with the architects to make the new Graaskamp Center space even nicer by adding some specific upgrades. The student area will now include a flat screen projector, extra computers and a Bloomberg machine. The conference room will have high-end furniture and extra windows in the reception area and student space. In general, the new and improved Graaskamp Center will have a very clean, aesthetically pleasing look that is not only beautiful but very functional and state-of-the-art.
The addition will be a huge step forward for the MBA program by providing a home for each of the MBA career specializations that make up the new Wisconsin MBA. It will offer centralized resources for MBA students, including state-of-the-art classrooms, MBA Program Office, MBA Career Center, breakout rooms and a unique multi-purpose Plenary Room. In addition, it will provide upgraded office space and classrooms for the Executive MBA and Evening MBA programs.
Alums and board members will have an opportunity to see the new space during the Center's fall board meeting which will be held in the new addition on September 16 -17, 2008.
