Real Estate Club Outlines Fall '07 Trips and Speakers
At Wisconsin, real estate students learn just as much from industry pros as they do from teachers. Fall Semester 2007 is already packed with events!
Day Trip - Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Date: September 14, 2007.
Plans: Club members will meet with Chief Operating Officer Robert Monnat and Senior Development Manager (and Real Estate alumnus) Phillip Aiello of the Mandel Group, one of the premier high-end residential developers in the Midwest. They will visit the University Club Tower construction site and Mandel corporate offices to discuss the North End project.
REC members will then meet with Milwaukee Department of City Development Commissioner Rocky Marcoux to discuss the Milwaukee condo market, the use of TIF proceeds, and "green" construction.
Last but not least, members will visit Miller Stadium to watch the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Cincinnati Reds.
Three-Day Trip - Chicago, Illinois
On the heels of its highly successful and popular club field trips to Los Angeles and Boston in 2006-07, Wisconsin's Real Estate Club in September will offer a three-day visit to Chicago, Illinois.
Dates: September 26-28, 2007.
Plans: Club members will tour a number of projects including Lakeshore East, Block 37 and Millennium Park, as well as meet with representatives from Jones Lang LaSalle, HFF and Centrum Properties.
