Sheldon Lubar, BBA '51, and his wife, Marianne, were recently named Wisconsin Distinguished Alumni. Shel Lubar is chairman of Lubar & Company in Milwaukee and former president of UW System Board of Regents. Shel and Marianne have been generous philanthropists of UW System programs, including the Wisconsin School of Business at UW-Madison and the Lubar School of Business at UW-Milwaukee. The award recipients, named by the Wisconsin Alumni Association, honor University of Wisconsin graduates who have achieved a high level of accomplishment in their fields.
