Looking for an easy way to help build awareness of the value of a business education from Wisconsin? It’s easy! Remember to mention your Badger Business ties whenever you get a chance.
Many times a year, Wisconsin business alumni are profiled in local and national media. Every time they have the opportunity to talk about the role that their education played in their success, the reputation of the School receives a major boost.
For example, the November 12 issue of “The DEAL" magazine profiled Julie Richardson's outstanding career in telecommunications mergers and acquisitions. Richardson, who is managing director with Providence Equity Partners in New York City, earned her BBA from the UW-Madison in 1985, a fact that is included in her profile.
Just think what the impact would be if every article about School of Business alumni written in the next year mentioned where they earned their degree.
So, the next time you receive media attention from your local newspaper, trade press or national news outlet, please consider mentioning that you earned your degree(s) from the UW-Madison. Your success can help shine a spotlight on your alma mater and encourage more people to discover all that the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business has to offer.
Also, don’t forget that once the article is published, you can send it to alumni@bus.wisc.edu and it could be posted in the “Alumni in the News” section of WBA News.
