Two Professors Given Named Chairs
Two School of Business professors have been appointed to named chairs
recently in recognition of their contributions to teaching, research and
service.
Professor Mark Browne was named to the Gerald D. Stephens CPCU Chair in Risk
Management and Insurance. Browne chairs the Department of Actuarial Science,
Risk Management and Insurance and is a noted expert in health care finance and
risk management. Support for the chair comes from Gerald D. Stephens, who earned
his BBA in 1955 from UW-Madison in risk and insurance. The gift is intended to
provide support to a top educator and researcher in risk management and
insurance and support various student programs and research efforts.

Mark Browne and Randall Dunham
Management Professor Randall B. Dunham was appointed Keenan A. Bennett Chair of Industrial Management in the School of Business. The Bennett chair is a five-year appointment that emphasizes improvement of the school’s undergraduate education programs. The chair was established by Joseph P. Bennett, BBA ‘51, retired former chairman of Trio Products, Incorporated, in honor of his late father, Keenan A. Bennett, BA ‘14. Dunham has taught management, organizational behavior, compensation, research methods, data analysis and other topics relating to management. He serves as director of the Executive MBA program and director of entrepreneurial activities. He has served as a consultant and trainer for public and private organizations and provided advice to more than 50 schools of business on the effective use of instructional technology.
