School of Business > UPDATE > Fall 2001 > Article More than 100 Alums Volunteer for Mentoring Program A new School of Business mentoring program designed to connect current students with alumni is off to a great start. Already more than 100 alumni and 50 students have registered for the program. The web-based program allows alumni interested in being mentors to submit their contact information to a secure database. Students are able to view contact information on alumni volunteers through a password-protected website. Students are able to use the website to search for mentors by industry or geographic location. Mentors are often able to offer real-world advice on how to break into a specific industry or what they have learned through their experiences in the business world. Alumni may sign up to be a mentor by visiting the School of Business alumni website. Questions about the on-line mentoring program should be directed to Alisa Robertson, associate director of alumni relations, 608/262–8777.
