Faculty Notes
- Churchill Professor of
Marketing
Jan Heide received the Louis W. Stern
Award from the American Marketing Association (AMA) for the best article
in an AMA refereed journal on marketing channels and distribution. He also
was awarded an Outstanding Faculty award by the
Evening MBA Program's
first graduating class.
- Ernst & Young Professor of
Accounting
Larry E. Rittenberg has been
named vice chairman-research and president of the Institute of Internal
Auditors Research Foundation board of trustees. IIA is an international
professional association with more than 70,000 members worldwide.
- The Selling and Sales Management Special Interest Group of the American
Marketing Association has honored two School of Business emeritus
marketing professors. Neil Ford and Gil Churchill, Jr. of the School of
Business received Lifetime Achievement Awards for their collective
contributions to the field of sales education.
- After three years with the
UW Foundation, Development Director Kristine Urrutia leaves her position working on behalf of the School of Business to
care for her infant daughter, Jade.
- Faculty in the Department of Management and Human Resources were in the
forefront of a recent issue of the Academy of Management Journal. Four of
the 10 articles in the June issue of the prestigious academic journal were
co-authored by School of Business faculty. The journal featured research
conducted by Mason Carpenter,
Alexander D. Stajkovic and
Gerard George.
- Assistant Professor
Neeraj Arora, of the
Department of Marketing, was
appointed to the editorial board of the Journal of Marketing Research.
