UW Connections Students
The UW-Madison Connections Program is a dual admission program offered to a select group of UW-Madison freshmen applicants. Through the Connections program, students complete their freshmen and sophomore years at any one of the 2-year UW Colleges, at three of the Wisconsin Technical Colleges, the College of Menominee Nation, and several UW 4-year campuses.
The following requirements are for students who started college in the summer of 2008 and thereafter. If you started before the summer of 2008, please contact the transfer advisor.
UW-Madison Connections participants that are interested in pursuing a major in the School of Business at UW-Madison should do the following during their first 2 years:
- Follow the guidelines of the UW-Madison Connections Program Agreement.
- Complete the required pre-business courses. For a list of pre-business courses refer to one of the links below:
- Pre-business courses at UW-Colleges
- Pre-Business courses at MATC
- Pre-Business courses at MATC-Milwaukee
- Pre-Business courses at the College of Menominee Nation
- Pre-Business courses at UW-Green Bay
- Pre-Business courses at UW-Stout
- Apply for admission to the School of Business before transitioning to UW-Madison. Steps to apply:
- Complete the School of Business admission application at the beginning of your final semester at a UW Connections campus. Applications are due by November 1st for admission in the spring semester and April 1st for admission in the following fall semester (at UW-Madison). Applications are accepted in fall and spring semesters only.
- After completing the School of Business electronic application, mail an unofficial transcript to the address below.
- Immediately following the completion of your final
semester at your current institution, mail a final/official
transcript (that includes final grades) to the address below.

To be considered for admission, final transcripts must be received before the School of Business Admission Committee meets. (This transcript is in addition to the final transcript sent directly to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.)
