Prospective Transfer Students
Thank you for your interest in the Wisconsin School of Business!
School of Business admission requirements are based on the semester and year a student began college/university coursework (matriculation date). Students who began taking college/university coursework more than 5 years prior to transferring to UW-Madison will abide by admission requirements in place at the time of their transfer. Refer to the 10 semester rule.
Students who entered a postsecondary institution in summer 2008 or later will be eligible for sophomore admission. Students who began college earlier than summer 2008 and do not fall under the 10 semester rule will be evaluated under the previous junior admission standards.
Admission to our undergraduate business program requires the following steps:
1. Admission to the University of Wisconsin-Madison
Students who wish to pursue a business major must first be admitted to UW-Madison. Please visit the UW-Madison Admissions website for complete information.
2. Eligibility to apply to the Wisconsin School of Business undergraduate program
