Overview of the Undergraduate Program
Undergraduate Program Mission
The mission of the Undergraduate Program in Business is to educate and prepare students for business careers. Through innovative curriculum and co-curriculum, we prepare students who are leaders, creative and critical thinkers, and life-long learners. We are committed to providing a learning environment that responds to the needs of a diverse multicultural society, prepares students for citizenship in a global economy, and promotes socially responsible and ethical behavior.
We foster and maintain relationships with faculty, staff, recruiters, alumni and other key stakeholders by providing services that exemplify excellence, integrity, and mutual respect.
Overview of the Undergraduate Program
In 1900, UW-Madison established one of the first six commerce programs in the country. By a 1944 act of the legislature, the School of Business received separate school status. The School of Business is a founding member of the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and Beta Gamma Sigma, a national professional business honor society.
The School of Business is dedicated to providing a professional business education. Faculty and staff foster development of analytical, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
A Bachelor’s in Business Administration (B.B.A. degree) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison can open many doors.
