Real Estate and Urban Land Economics
The undergraduate program in real estate provides concentrated course work in all aspects of the real estate enterprise. The program is nationally renowned for its ability to develop real estate professionals with superb analytical skills. Many of the graduates of the program go on to work as managers of and advisers to pension funds, insurance companies, real estate investment trusts, and investment banks. Other graduates of the program go on to take public and private industry jobs in real estate development, appraisal, corporate real estate asset management, and real estate analysis. - Real Est 306 The Real Estate Process, 3 cr
- Real Est 312 Real Estate Law, 3 cr
- Real Est 410 Real Estate Finance, 3 cr
- Real Est 415 Valuation of Real Estate, 3 cr
- Real Est 420 Urban and Regional Economics, 3 cr
- Real Est 611 Residential Property Development, 3 cr
Real Est 306 is required for and should be taken prior to taking Real Est 410, Real Est 415 and Real Est 611. Students are strongly encouraged to take Real Est 306 before taking Real Est 312.
Students are advised to take Real Est 415 before taking Real Est 410 or in the same term. Students are strongly discouraged from taking Real Est 415 after Real Est 410.
Real Est 410 and Real Est 415 are required for Real Est 611. Real Est 611 is the capstone course of the program and should be taken last.
In addition, undergraduate students are welcome to take additional electives from among the following real estate and related courses within the School of Business.
