Email is often the best way to contact your advisor with quick questions. Here are a few helpful tips to make this correspondence more efficient:

• Please include your first and last name, and student ID number
• Always use your UW-Madison (@wisc.edu) email account
• Save a copy of important correspondence for later reference

Advisors can usually respond to email questions in 24-48 hours. It may take slightly longer during our high traffic times (beginning of the semester, registration). For more complicated questions, your advisor may ask you to schedule an individual appointment.
