Undergraduate Scholarship Application
The scholarship application period will be open between February 1, 2008 and 4:30 pm on March 1, 2008
To be eligible for School of Business scholarships, a student must complete the following application. This application enables students to be considered for a wide variety of School of Business scholarships.
*You must be a UW-Madison student to apply for School of Business scholarships. Generally scholarships are awarded only to students already admitted to the School of Business.
This application is entirely electronic. There are no hard-copy applications available.
School of Business General Scholarship applications are now being accepted for the 2008-2009 academic year. Applications are due no later than March 1st at 4:30 p.m. Late applications cannot be considered. Be sure to read all instructions carefully.
NOTICE: Students who wish to have financial need considered as part of their criteria must submit a copy of the SAR (Student Aid Report) to the Undergraduate Academic Services Office, 2020 Grainger Hall, no later than the March 1 deadline.
NEW: The scholarship application contains an optional personal statement. This statement is not required; however, it is strongly recommended by the Scholarship Committee that all students include a personal statement with their application.
Due to server limitations, the scholarship application will time out 20 minutes after starting. If the application is not submitted within this time frame, all data will be lost and your application will not be submitted. Because of this, students are strongly encouraged to type and save the personal statement as a Microsoft Word document BEFORE starting the application process. The application provides space in which to copy and then paste the personal statement.
If submitting a personal statement, it MUST contain your full name on the first line and your student ID on the second line. Start your essay on the third or fourth line.
The length of the personal statement must be at or less than one page, single spaced, using Arial size 10 font.
Some scholarships may be awarded based on the information provided in the personal statement. Students may include any information they wish, however it is advised to also include some or all of the following information:
- Any UW-Madison scholarships or honors received
- Any UW-Madison extra-curricular activities including dates of participation
- Career ambitions
