Scholarships
The School of Business offers many undergraduate scholarships to junior and senior business students.
There are several ways in which business students may apply for scholarships:
- School of Business General Scholarship Application
- Campus Scholarship Offices
- Other Awards by Group or Department
School of Business General Scholarship Application
Filling out a single General Scholarship Application will make the applicant eligible for a range of scholarships offered to business students. The general Business scholarship application will be available around the first day of classes in the spring semester and are due around March 1st. Applications may be filled out entirely on-line.
To be eligible for the general scholarships, a student must be admitted to the Business School by the end of spring semester. Award decisions are based primarily on a student's cumulative GPA. Scholarships are awarded for the following academic year and generally vary from $200 - $3000.
The Undergraduate Academic Awards Office has extensive information about scholarships and other awards available to UW-Madison students. These awards include campus-wide and nation-wide opportunities.
The Office of Student Financial Services also has information on Financial aid and a listing of Scholarships available to UW-Madison students.
Other Awards by Group or Department
Some departments and groups on and off campus administer their own scholarships separately from the School of Business. All students are encouraged to contact their major department to see if they are eligible for any additional scholarships that might be offered. Students are also encouraged to contact any groups or clubs they are involved with to see if additional scholarship opportunities exist.
Additionally, the UW System Higher Education Learning System has several links to free scholarship search engines and information about scholarship scams.
The International Student Services office (ISS) also has a listing of opportunities that are available to international students. The list is linked off of their website.
