Re-Entry Information
Students who were once enrolled at UW-Madison but have not attended for a semester or more are considered re-entry students. To re-enroll at UW-Madison, you must submit an application for re-entry. For more information about the re-entry application process, please refer to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
Prospective business students are typically admitted to the College of Letters and Sciences. Students who were admitted to the School of Business prior to leaving UW-Madison will be re-admitted to the School of Business upon re-entry, provided those students were in good standing (i.e. not on probation) with the University when they left.
Note: To ensure that you have been re-admitted to the School of Business please verify your classification with the Undergraduate Academic Services Office (2020 Grainger Hall) after your re-entry application to the university has been processed.
We recommend that all re-entry students meet with an academic advisor to learn more about how re-entry may impact their academic plans at UW-Madison. To schedule an advising appointment with a business advisor, call 608-262-0471 or stop by 2020 Grainger Hall.
Students re-entering UW-Madison after an absence of ten or more semesters
should be aware of the 10 semester
rule. Students intending to apply to the School of Business should also
be aware of the 100 credit rule.
