Admission Requirements for Current UW-Madison Students

School of Business admission requirements are based on the semester and year a student began ANY college/university coursework (excludes college-level coursework completed while in high school). Students who transferred to UW-Madison or returned to UW-Madison after an extended absence should be aware of the ten semester rule.

UW-Madison students may apply to the School of Business at the beginning of the semester that they will complete at least 54 credits (junior standing) and all pre-Business Requirements (courses required prior to School of Business admission consideration). Students must also adhere to application deadlines. Application to the School of Business guarantees consideration but NOT admission.

The current pre-Business requirements are appropriate for students who began college in the Summer of 2003 or after. Students who began college before this time (excluding college work completed while in High School) may have different requirements. Please contact your assigned academic advisor for details.

School of Business applications are available on our website during the first four weeks of the Fall and Spring semesters. Applications must be complete in order to be considered.  Students with incomplete grades at the time applications are reviewed will not be considered for admission.
