1bNon-course Requirements

Because of enrollment limitations, not all students who are eligible for admission to UW-Madison will be admitted to the Wisconsin School of Business. The applicant’s GPA is a major factor in deciding admission but because the qualifications of the applicant pool change from year to year a “guaranteed” GPA for admission cannot be specified.

Admission decisions are based on: (1) GPA established in Pre-business Requirements (see list below), (2) GPA in Business/Economics courses, and (3) personal characteristics which contribute to the overall strength and diversity of the Wisconsin School of Business student body. These characteristics include, but are not limited to, strength of character, ability to overcome adversity, leadership, and work experience.
