| First, Beta Alpha Psi provides you with an opportunity to meet and become friends with other accounting students and faculty members in a relaxed, social atmosphere. Second, Big Four and regional accounting firms as well as industrial firms sponsor Beta Alpha Psi events. Representatives are available to discuss different career opportunities or to answer any questions that you may have about their firms or the business world in general. This is a great way to learn about the accounting profession in a setting outside of the classroom. Third, Beta Alpha Psi hosts many different events that would be of interest to you. We try to remain active in the community through various service projects. This semester we plan to volunteer help with a blood drive at Union South, tutor business students, and get involved in other service projects. A pizza party will be held to give you a chance to learn about Beta Alpha Psi and meet other pledges, officers, committee chairs and current members. The pledge pizza party will be held in the Grainger Deli. Attendance at the party is mandatory for all pledges since it will also be used to inform you of how to satisfy all the pledge requirements.
