The IMA is an accounting and business organization that focuses on individual companies as well as public accounting firms to allow students to obtain crucial business skills to succeed in their careers. Our speakers come to discuss their company’s story and how accounting and business practices apply in the “real world”. They may also discuss their accounting department, internal pricing procedures, costs structures and future employment opportunities. Meetings are followed by a brief social period where members have time to become acquainted with the speaker and ask further questions. The IMA also has several social events each semester. All food at the speaker and social events is complementary. Any student with an interest in business or accounting is welcome to become a member of the IMA, a national organization.
