Student Leaders - Checklist
The following is a brief checklist of minimum requirements in running a student organization. Use the following checkboxes to mark your progress.
- Register your group each fall with the UW-Madison Student Organization Office, 239 Red Gym ( http://soo.studentorg.wisc.edu/ )
Provide the External Relations office, 5151 Grainger Hall, the following items by the end of each semester:
- A copy of your group's financial summary .
- A copy of your group's activity summary .
- Revised content for your group's listing online - including one contact person, his/her phone number and email address, a paragraph explaining the organization's purpose, and any membership requirements.
- A current list of officers.
- Post a mission statement (and other useful information about your group) on the bulletin board in the Blue Chip Deli or graduate lounge as soon as possible.
- Arrange a meeting with Rebecca Smith , student organization coordinator, 5151 Grainger Hall, if you have questions about administrative issues.
- Consider requesting funding if your organization may need support.
