About the Series
The Executive Leadership Speaker Series was created to provide the opportunity for Wisconsin MBA students to interact with and learn from successful business leaders in a variety of fields.
The series was established in 2004 with a gift by John J. Oros and his wife, Anne Wackman. Oros is a 1971 graduate of the School of Business and is president and COO of the Enstar Group.
In 2007, the series continues via a gift by M. Keith Weikel and his wife Barbara as the M. Keith Weikel Executive Leadership Speaker Series. Weikel, who earned his Ph.D. in marketing and economics from the School of Business in l966, retired as senior executive vice president and COO of ManorCare, Inc. in Toledo, Ohio at the end of 2006. He has served as a director of Laboratory Corporation of America since 2003, as a director for Direct Supply, Inc. and as director emeritus for Manor Care, Inc. He is a member of the Federation of American Health Systems and the Alliance for Quality Long Term Care.
