Commitment to Diversity
The Wisconsin MBA and Strategic Human Resource Management Program continually seek ethnic, socioeconomic, geographic, and other types of diversity among our students. We strive to create a learning environment that enables all of our graduates to be effective in the kind of world in which they will live and work. Nowhere is a commitment to respecting differences more important than in the field of HR.
As one of the three founding schools of the Consortium for Graduate Study in Management, the country's first equal opportunity graduate fellowship program for minorities, the Wisconsin MBA seeks to enroll several MBA students each year on Consortium fellowships. In addition, each fall we offer a Diversity Weekend that invites prospective students from around the country to campus to research and explore the program. Attendees are given the opportunity to speak with faculty, students, and alumni in the specializations of their interest, as well as members of the MBA Office and fellow prospective students.
The Wisconsin MBA is proud to partner with the Forté Foundation in its important work to increase the flow of women into key educational gateways and business networks. We were recently selected to join a prestigious consortium of major corporations and top business schools working to substantially increase the number of women business leaders. The Forté Foundation is a powerful change agent in educating and directing talented women toward leadership roles in business.
Please visit the Wisconsin MBA website for further information regarding our commitment to diversity .
“The Wisconsin MBA attracts a diverse group of professionals with a broad range of viewpoints. This provides for a very inclusive environment from which I have benefited immensely. The other students in the Strategic HRM specialization and I really learn from each others' backgrounds.”
