Prospective candidates apply online through the Wisconsin MBA, and specify Strategic Human Resource Management as their career specialization of choice.
Application Requirements
- A bachelor's degree from an approved (accredited) institution. International applicants must have a degree comparable to an approved U.S. bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of two years of professional work experience. However, exceptional candidates with limited professional work experience and a strong part-time or internship experience may be considered.
- A Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) score taken within the past five years.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 600 or above (paper-based test) or 100 or above (Internet-based test) for applicants whose native language is not English or whose undergraduate instruction was not in English.
- Evidence of adequate financial resources for the anticipated duration of the program for international applicants. This information is required for visa documentation by the federal government.
- Computer Literacy Requirement All master's students must possess knowledge of spreadsheet and presentation software. The important focus is on usable technical/computing skills such as: document layout, graphics insertion, and table development; spreadsheet functions such as summing, counting, graphing, and forecasting; and presentation development including graphics and on-line delivery.
- There are no School of Business prerequisite courses for students in the MBA program. If you have not taken or feel that a refresher course would benefit you in preparing for the MBA program, we suggest that you consider taking a statistics and/or economics course. Both courses have proven to be beneficial to incoming students in helping them gain the necessary knowledge to begin the program.
