SURVEY SAYS..."HR MBA!" 

Sarah Condella, MBA 2007
Human Resource Leadership Program, GE Healthcare

While working as a Project Director for the University of Wisconsin Madison Survey Center, Sarah Condella first learned of the Wisconsin MBA career specialization in Strategic HRM.  As an undergraduate psychology major, Sarah had always enjoyed learning about people and their motivation, an interest that continued to grow in her post-graduation endeavors.  During her work at the Survey Center, she assisted in the creation of a new division and developed a fascination for team dynamics.  "I loved seeing what motivated people and their different communication styles so I thought that Human Resources was a great fit.  I was really interested in the development side of it, motivating others and the workplace dynamics of HR."

Between her first and second year in the MBA Program, Sarah completed a summer internship at GE Healthcare.  Her experiences and exposure to the organization were positive and when they asked her to join them fulltime upon graduation, she happily accepted.  She is currently in the second year of GE's two year Human Resource Leadership Program, and has already successfully completed rotations as a Lean Leader in MR Business and as HR Manager in the US Molecular Imaging division.

Sarah's passions for the program remain strong and she recently joined the recruiting team for GE Healthcare as one of the MBA leads.  She participates in mock interviews and career fairs, and collaborates with program and MBA administration to strenghthen the ties between GE and the UW.  "I hope to continue to stay in touch with the HR MBAs to talk about the program, GE, and my time in Madison.”
