Internships
Strategic HRM students are highly encouraged to participate in a summer internship experience that will help them to bridge their classroom learning with real world experience.
Companies come to the Wisconsin School of Business to recruit students for internships early in the fall semester of the first year of the program. Students in Strategic HRM are able to use their internships to develop their skills, deepen their resumes, and to learn more about the field and their career goals. All students in Strategic HRM who have sought summer positions between the first and second year have landed internships with leading firms. In their internships, students take on a large range of interesting projects, reflecting the students’ interests as well as the companies’ strategic priorities. Internships also provide students with the opportunity to meet and to work with graduate students from around the world. In recent years, Wisconsin students have participated in internships at the following companies:
- Cisco
- ExxonMobil
- GE (Healthcare, Plastics, Transportation, NBC Universal)
- IBM
- Kraft

Traci Diciaula and Justina Bond participated
in a summer internship conference in NYC.
