Connection to Industry

Students in the Strategic Human Resource Management Program connect with and learn from real-world global Human Resource professionals. These leaders help students to understand how HR earns a “seat at the table,” where strategic decisions get made, how HR professionals can add value to these decisions, and the types of career strategies that are most effective for HR professionals.

Applied Projects

Students connect classroom learning with real-world experience through the completion of applied projects.

Guest Speakers

Strategic HRM faculty incorporate the expertise of guest speakers in their classes.

Internships

Global Business Trips

Students in the Wisconsin MBA have the opportunity to participate in the Global Business Program, which includes several annual student-planned/led study tours.  During these tours, students are accompanied by Wisconsin MBA staff and meet with senior business executives, government leaders, and educators in key business locations around the world.  Trips are held during winter break, and have included recent excursions to Brazil, Chile, China, Dubai, India, and Japan.

Students who particpated in the 2009 Global Business Trips travelled to Brazil, Japan, and Dubai.  Shown above is the student group that travelled to Japan after their tour of the Panasonic Corporation Headquarters in Osaka.
