Join a Strong Community

The Strategic Human Resource Management Program is part of a strong and connected community.  Faculty, students, and alumni believe that HR perspectives and analyses are fundamental to solid strategic decision-making.  Members share a commitment to seeing HR play a role in organizational success and to the advancement of the HR profession.

The program in Strategic HRM is one of the twelve focused career specializations in Wisconsin MBA. Officially founded in 2005, the program has its roots in the former UW Industrial Relations Institute as well as in the Wisconsin School of Business General Management MBA.  Today’s Strategic HRM students are able to draw on this history to connect with professionals from human resources and industrial relations both during their time in the program and throughout their careers.
