The Wisconsin Difference
Experience the best of both worlds--intimacy and collaboration only possible in a smaller graduate program--coupled with the resources of a world-class research university.
A Specialized Approach
As an MBA student, you don't enroll in the Wisconsin School of Business. Rather, you are admitted into a specialization with dedicated faculty, staff and resources. Our program surrounds you with the support you need to succeed.
What does the specialization model mean for you?
- From day one, you are affiliated with a specific functional area that corresponds to a real-world career path. Coursework, instructors and hands-on learning experiences are designed to give you an edge in the risk management and insurance field.
- You will benefit from individualized academic and career coaching provided by the RMI program staff and faculty director--an expert in the field. You will leave the Wisconsin MBA program as an emerging leader in RMI, not just another MBA.
- RMI alumni remain closely connected with the specialization and are eager to provide you with mentorship and networking opportunities. In addition, the MBA program in RMI benefits from the leadership of an Advisory Board as well as an Alumni Association.
- In the fall of 2008, the new wing of Grainger Hall opened. This wing houses the RMI MBA suite, a dedicated space for students enrolled in the specialization. Students use the RMI suite to complete projects, study together and relax during a busy day.
"You have general support within the school that is amazing. Then, in the RMI program, you have people who know all about you. They know your past, they know your present, and they know what you want your future to be.”
Duane Woolery, MBA Class of 2009
