EconData.Net is a gateway to lots of economic data, especially related to regional economics and local economic development. Sponsored by the Economic Development Administration.

Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation Data FDIC has good banking data, studies.

Geosource is maintained by the University of Utrecht. It contains lots of info regarding regional economics and geography.

Ibbotson Associates Data on asset allocations and returns. Data for sale, often worth it.

Panel Study of Income Dynamics The PSID is a survey that follows a sample of about 37,000 people in about 4,800 U.S. households. The survey has been conducted annually since 1968. It's somewhat complex to use, but is very useful for research on how incomes, consumption, etc. change over time. See M.S. Hill, The Panel Study of Income Dynamics (Sage, 1992) for an introduction.

UVA Library: A Better BEA Site than BEA's Site! This is a great site with an easy to use download protocol for annual data on employment, income and population. Data are available for states, metro areas, counties, BEA economic regions. Annual data go back to 1969. Highly recommended.
