MBA Degree

The graduate Real Estate program combines general management training with a core concentration in real estate and urban land economics analysis.

The School of Business has recently revised its Master of Business Administration to strengthen the program along several dimensions, including the opportunity to take additional real estate courses.   Students take up to 24 credit hours of real estate and related courses, in addition to a full program of management, finance, accounting, strategy, ethics, and other business courses.

The new MBA combines the best of both worlds, because students now receive both a strong generalist business background as well as more intensive preparation in real estate than any competing MBA program.

Students in the new Real Estate MBA program receive a diversified education in the core areas of real estate, including the urban economic principles underlying the field, finance, investments, and development.  Students have the opportunity to focus on advanced tracks in finance, or in development, or to run a real-world portfolio of real estate investments in the Applied Real Estate Securities Program.

The Wisconsin Real Estate MBA program is administered by the James A. Graaskamp Center for Real Estate. For more information, see these pages.
