Admissions

Admission to School of Business doctoral programs requires a separate application than that used by the Graduate School of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. All applicants must follow the directions for application on this web site and complete the School of Business online application. Instructions and deadlines for School of Business applicants are different than for the Graduate School application, so be sure to follow only links from this web site.

Note: Applicants who are currently enrolled in graduate degree programs within the University of Wisconsin-Madison are still required to complete the on line application for the School of Business, although the $56 application fee will be waived, since it was already paid for the prior application. Please contact the PhD Coordinator at phd@bus.wisc.edu for more information.

Applications for Fall admission (the only date of entry permitted for Business doctoral programs) are considered on a rolling basis. Click here for deadlines.

Underrepresented minority students are encouraged to review information on the PhD Project and to participate in the PhD Project Conference held in November each year.
