Opportunities for Financial Assistance

Your MBA is an investment in your future. However, many of our students receive funding through project assistantships that allow students to gain relevant work experience while attending school for free! In a project assistantship, a student works approximately 13 hours a week and is compensated with a monthly stipend, tuition waiver and health insurance benefits.

  • Full tuition remission - the estimated value of 2008-2009 non-resident tuition is approximately $26,500; resident tuition is approximately $11,500.
  • For 2008-2009, the stipend is approximately $8450 dispersed in 9 monthly installments beginning October 1.
  • Health insurance benefits - worth up to $6000 annually.

Project assistants generally work on a research project either for a department on campus or for a company. Students find this the perfect opportunity to further build their resumes and apply course learning. To be eligible, applicants must select the "Marketing MBA-Marketing Research" as their career specialization in the application materials.

If you request financial aid on your application, you will also be considered for scholarships awarded by the business school. For more information and financial aid opportunities visit the Business School Tuition/Financial Aid page and the Office of Student Financial Aid.

Consider the project Praveena Tirumalareddy and Chanchal Tamrakar undertook in 2007. They conducted an economic survey of 544 businesses in Dane County between September and October. The A.C. Nielsen Center sponsored project helped investors and policy makers access the health of Wisconsin businesses. Their work was even featured in the Wisconsin State Journal!
