The Quantitative Project Leader/Researcher position combines the ability to take a role in project planning, design and execution along with providing expertise in other areas of quantitative research, such as the development of advanced analytical methods and training.

This Quantitative Project Leader/Researcher will play unique roles on each project - either a Project leader, Researcher, or Both. Whatever role that is, the Quantitative Project Leader/Researcher must be able to work collaboratively with a wide variety of people ranging from team members and SDA management to clients to suppliers.

Quantitative Project Leader/Researcher - Roles & Responsibilities

The Quantitative project leader is in charge of the project and accountable for its success or failure. He or she collaborates with the Group Directors, Team Leaders, other Project Leaders, team members, and methodology experts to:

• Deliver a realistic, well-thought out proposal on time to client including determining appropriate methodology and statistical analyses to be used as well as a sample plan and specifications.
• Ensure client communication and team communication is timely and crisp.
• Work with client to ensure project objectives are clear, specific, attainable and realistic.
• Explain complex methodologies to SDA team members and clients
• Choose supplier and be accountable for supplier performance.
• Determine a realistic schedule and budget that meet the client needs.
• Assign project related work to project team members to maximize project success.
• Create data analysis plan and oversee execution.
• Ensure quality and timely field execution including creation of questionnaire.
• Create display and embedment plan and oversee execution, including report and presentation.
• Maintains Project team spirit and motivation.

The Quantitative Project Researcher executes and completes all project related tasks assigned by the Project Leader including any and all aspects of the SDA research execution process including, but not limited to:
• Assist in proposal writing and methodology discussions
• Acquire estimates from vendors
• Provide consistent, regular and meaningful client service and communication
• Lead questionnaire creation and testing
• Execute field work including survey programming and supplier coordination
• Fulfill data analysis plan including data tabulation and any required statistical analysis
• Work with team to create project reports and presentations

Quantitative Project Leader/Researcher - Background & Experience

This position requires the ability to understand quantitative research beyond the numbers, explain complex methodologies to SDA team members and clients, design advanced analytical quantitative research methods to meet clients' business objectives, develop training materials and conduct internal training sessions.

In addition the Quantitative Project Leader/Researcher will have the ability to work effectively in a team environment, including collaboration with all experience levels.

To accomplish the above, the Project Developer/Researcher should possess the following experience and skills:
• Bachelor's degree in applied statistics, marketing, marketing research, or relevant field. An MBA, advanced degree or equivalent experiences a plus.
• Proficiency in SPSS, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Experience with Sawtooth, Confirmit, HTML, J-scripting, VBA a plus.
• Familiar with the following statistical analyses/processes:

○ ANOVA/T-test/P-test/Chi-Square
○ Sampling requirements
○ Post weighting
○ Correlation
○ Linear and Non-linear regression
○ Conjoint/Discrete choice
○ Factor analysis
○ Discriminant analysis
○ Cluster analysis
○ CHAID/CART Tree
○ Principal Component Analysis
○ Correspondence Analysis

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. Market research project management experience is a plus.
• Ability to research new research methodologies and statistical analyses
• Ability to communicate clear instructions
• Comfortable working with a variety of personality types and experience levels- internal, clients and suppliers
• Attention to details and sense of timeliness
