Business and Consumer Insights Analyst, Johnsonville Sausage (Sheboygan Falls, WI)

Position Overview
As a Business & Consumer Insights Analyst you will have the opportunity to be an "information star" on the Johnsonville Sausage Strategic Insights & Analytics team, a team recognized as being key partners in helping Johnsonville achieve its goals. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the marketing team to identify business, consumer and customer research needs and define best practice methodologies for addressing these needs. You will serve as the expert in the use of syndicated and custom marketing research and analytics and be involved in projects from the development of the research plan to interpretation/presentation of results and the creation of the action plan based on findings.

• Drive category and brand growth through insight support to Marketing team members and Johnsonville customers. This includes issue-specific analyses, custom research and on-going monitoring and tracking of key categories, competitors, trend identification, market performance and opportunity
• Partner with key internal contacts across all functional groups, such as, brand teams, R&D, and Creative Services as well as eternal agency partners
• Develop and bring in new tools, technologies, and capabilities to improve Johnsonville's business and consumer insights capabilities
Core Responsibilities
Category/Brand Review & Planning Analyses
• Insights & opportunity generation
• Analyze volume drivers
Participate in new product development and launch
• Partner with marketing to create a business case for new items
• Leverage consumer and syndicated data to aid marketing in developing new item sell-in presentations
• Assist in the development of test market research plans
• Prepare post launch analyses
Execute primary research and report insights for established products
Information & Communication Management:
• Translate data into actionable recommendations with supporting rationale and persuasively communicate to marketing teams and external agencies
• Assist marketing team with system applications and data needs
• Coach marketing teams on data access and applications
• Develop reporting tools as needed
• Manage Nielsen database(s) for assigned category(s)
Strategic Insights & Analytics Team Collaboration:
• Partner with the Customer Insights Analyst(s) to leverage brand and consumer trends aiding in the creation of impactful selling stories
• Partner with Nielsen on-site to identify new approaches for delivering business and consumer insights

Education and Experience Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred
• 3+ years of data analysis experience within a consumer goods company
• Proven ability to use data and analytics to develop insights and drive actionable results with customers including:
o Executing and analyzing qualitative and quantitative primary research
o Use of purchase database; e.g. Nielsen, IRI etc
o Use of consumer panel data and/or shopper card data; e.g. Nielsen Homescan, Dunnhumby, Spectra etc
