The Senior Manager of Primary Research is responsible for company-wide product development, brand positioning and customer research initiatives within The Mark Travel Corporation (TMTC) and its parent company, La Macchia Enterprises.

This individual develops the processes, tools and methodologies to provide the company with insights into consumer behavior, customer satisfaction, brand preferences and product design, to support strategic decision-making across TMTC brands.

Requirements include the following:
• Project Management - Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines, organize and complete multiple projects effectively and on time; ability to design, implement, and analyze custom primary research.
• Quantitative Ability - Knowledge of statistical techniques; including (but not limited to) multivariate and conjoint analysis. Data Mining experience is considered a plus.
• Software Aptitude - Use analytical research software including statistical, database, and modeling systems; knowledge of online survey instrument software. Experience with and proficiency in SPSS or SAS preferred.
• Business Acumen - Solid understanding of the role market research plays in strategic planning; ability to transform key data into clear business commentary and action points; ability to summarize results with a focus on business implications and decisions.
• Communication Skills - Provide actionable reporting of research projects via written reports or presentations; strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate research results and conclusions to various constituencies.
• Interpersonal Skills - Ability to work as part of a diverse, cross-functional team and interact effectively with all levels of management.
• Leadership Ability - Ability to successfully consult with internal partners in creating a vision, establishing an agenda, and mobilizing the organization around key research priorities.
• Direct the conception, execution, analysis, and delivery of all product development research and assigned brand primary research to produce relevant business strategy.
• Continuously evaluate and refine the product development process, current research partners, and typically employed quantitative research techniques to optimize learning and insights.
• Manage or oversee strategic quantitative and qualitative research projects and project teams for all TMTC brands.

REQUIREMENTS:
• BA/BS Social Sciences, Marketing, Business
• 4+ Years of Market Research Experience

PREFERENCES:
• MA/MS/MBA Social Sciences, Research, Marketing
• Experience in Product Design Studies - Ideally using conjoint analysis
• Experience designing Customer Satisfaction or Net Promoter Studies
• Experience in brand positioning using factor analysis
