Market Research Manager (McCormick & Co, Baltimore, MD)

PURPOSE
Ensure that all market research projects are designed and executed in order to gather the information that will impact in the business decisions and meet the objectives of assigned Business Unit.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Handle full research responsibilities for the Business Unit, creating and discussing the design with clients, envisioning possible research issues and solving them, gathering the information needed to answer business's questions.
• Provides proactive consultation with brand management via developing research plans and analysis on assigned businesses as well as provides all the answers to management's questions regarding the consumer, market, etc.
• Has final decision making authority on research methodology and techniques, data sources, research design elements, questionnaire composition, data's evaluation and supplier's selection.
• Has a large number of clients (e.g., general managers, brand managers and trade promotion manager), and is day-to-day contact for all research activity associated with assigned businesses.

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/COMPENTENCIES

Four to six years experience in consumer research, Bachelors of Science degree, MBA preferred. While the position requires some knowledge of both custom and syndicated research, emphasis in the position will be on custom research and thus requires stronger knowledge/experience in this discipline.
