LOCATION:
Mid size northern Mid-Atlantic town...Close to Mountains...very inexpensive cost of living...close to several major metropolitan areas i.e. Washington DC, NYC, Philadelphia, Baltimore.
OVERVIEW:
Leads the company efforts to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the $500+M marketing and sales spending budgets. This is accomplished by developing marketing mix models at various levels that will allow the company to better estimate and plan for the results of changes to the advertising, promotional, and pricing strategies of the company. Models also have a "due to" capability allowing sales and marketing professionals to diagnosis and quantify the drivers of their business by brand at the class of trade or key retailer level for designated periods of time. Also, this position will be responsible for evaluation and make recommendations regarding activities such as promotional lifts, pack type mix, cannibalization, etc. Additional pricing models will be developed under the supervision of the Director to better understand and make recommendations regarding pricing strategies for all key pack types.
This position leads the development and maintenance of the retail forecast models and applications. These forecast models predict the retail takeaway and share for company over the next 6-12 months. These forecasts are utilized by the President as well as by the U.S. senior leadership team to better understand, and if necessary change, the course of business plans.
The Director of Advanced Analytics is responsible for leading the evaluation of controlled store testing efforts for the business. This position will read results directly, accessing the store level data and/or manage vendor partners executing and analyzing the business results.
Manage 2 direct reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing, Psychology or closely related field and extensive experience in package goods promotional and pricing modeling is required.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of ten years of related market research experience or equivalent. Specific methodological and system experience as follows:
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience of promotional and pricing modeling within the CPG industry is required.
SALARY:
Flexible in the $140'S + 23% target bonus + stock option target of 25%.
