Purpose/Scope/Relationships
Basic Purpose
(1) To oversee the complete execution of research projects from design through presentation of results according to the project design plan and Maritz Research's Quality Management System so that client expectations are met or exceeded. (2) To handle projects which require intermediate research skills. (3) To develop the best quality research design plan for projects which include the most appropriate analytical approaches that yield actionable and meaningful results. (4) To mentor assigned Research Services personnel and manage/develop any direct reports. (5) To provide sales support to account managers in the design costing and development of proposals. (6) Perform all duties in accordance with North American Group, Maritz Research and Maritz Inc. policies and practices and follow marketing research industry standards published by CASRO, CMOR, AMA, MRA and ESOMAR.

Scope
Direct Reports: 0 - 2; Desired Billable Percentage: 60% - 70%

Reporting and Working Relationships
•Reports to: Director, Research Services; Supervision Required: Minimal; Level of Direct Reports: Range from G to K; Works with: Other North America People, field managers/supervisors, account managers, Financial, Field Management staff, suppliers, IT staff, senior management and clients

Project design, set-up and kick-off (20%)
Provide sales support to Account Managers (20%)
Oversee project execution according to Maritz Research's Quality Management System standards (15%)
Mentor/develop/manage direct reports including PPR process (10%)
Division/Company-wide initiatives, administrative functions, training (5%)
Ensure that accurate project budgets are developed and monitored regularly to support. Achievement of budgeted gross profits. (0%)

Qualifications
(1) Education: MMR/MBA or Equivalent Experience (2) Five or more years of experience in marketing research field (3) Above average competency in research design and analytical skills (4) Ability to communicate effectively with the field, project teams, research manager and client (5) Effective writing skills when communicating research designs or results in proposals, reports and presentations (6) Ability to maintain confidentiality of projects at all times (7) Management/mentoring skills to develop assigned research services personnel.
