Emerson Corporate Marketing is responsible for growing Emerson’s brand equity and providing best practices for Marketing and Market Research worldwide. Corporate Marketing develops brand standards and communications, and performs global brand equity tracking among customers, investors and employees. Corporate Market Research partners with divisions to develop research plans, and then provides internal capabilities for designing, fielding, analyzing and reporting market research projects for new products & services globally.

The Corporate Marketing Senior Analyst, Market Research will:

Partner with divisions to complete qualitative and quantitative studies with business-to-business customers and end-users of Emerson products and services

Utilize Emerson’s market research resources globally, including teams in USA, Philippines, and China

Recommend and manage external market research vendors, as needed

Assist with market studies, and innovation initiatives

Partner with Market Research Director to develop new capabilities, methods and best practices

Actively seek new research projects by meeting with key business managers

This position is a rotating assignment, to prepare market research professionals for placement at one of Emerson’s divisions. After approximately 2 years, the Senior Analyst will work with the Director to determine the best assignment, among Emerson’s many global divisions and opportunities, including those located in St. Louis.

Qualifications
MBA graduate with specialty in Market Research, or a focus on Marketing, Business Analysis, Research Design, and/or Statistics

2+ years work experience in a custom (not exclusively syndicated) market research role; with experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Business-to-business, and durables market research experience is a plus

An undergraduate degree or work experience in engineering/technology is a plus, but not required

Strong project management experience with ability to coordinate projects across multiple, international locations and languages

Proven ability to consult with internal clients to determine project objectives, design appropriate methodology, and manage resources and timelines for many projects at once

Experience in developing and implementing new processes and capabilities

Experienced in Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and data analysis software

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

International travel will require a passport and ability to obtain visas

Ability and desire to work with people of diverse cultures
