Senior Financial Analyst

During my summer internship I worked as a Senior Financial Analyst in the Supply Chain Finance Group at Best Buy.  In the first project, I evaluated the financial impact of moving stores from one warehouse to the other. The move had several tangential effects and I enjoyed working in cross-functional teams to negotiate those issues. I was also involved in a capital budgeting process to value the prospect of adding a cross-dock for home delivery. Here, I was able to apply core finance skills to real-world projects. Finally, I got an opportunity to work on an auditing tool to compare supply chain costs for SKUs that were imported from Asia.

Overall, the internship was very satisfying and rewarding. It gave my good insights into the retail world as well as familiarizing me with several dimensions of Corporate Finance within Best Buy.
