As a member of the Global Purchasing team at Johnson Controls, I had the opportunity to analyze the competitiveness of pricing that JCI receives around the world, researched commodity groups and trends, and participated in negotiations to leverage purchasing volume with suppliers. I am now in the process of developing a component sourcing strategy that I will ultimately present to the VP of our group. This internship has been great professional experience, and has allowed me to comprehensively use the skills I learned as a first-year MBA student.
