Intel Corporation provided an intern experience second to none in terms of real projects that have a measured effect on a given business unit.

During the summer I worked in the Visual Computing Group (VCG) developing a competitive investment analysis of graphics processor manufacturers.  As part of my benchmarking exercise, I presented my findings to various stakeholders in the company and offered my recommendations on continued spending levels for VCG.

The project wasn't easy.  I found that in an internal flat-spending environment, defending the need for additional funding was difficult to justify--especially to other competing organizations within the company!  This fact made my internship very fulfilling and provided an incentive to deliver the best possible output to my team.

Working in Intel Finance, not only did I gain a great deal of technical knowledge of CPU process technology, semiconductor economics, and graphics processing units, but I also further developed my finance and business acumen which greatly contributed to my continued success in the MBA and my career going forward.
