Paul Wirth

I worked in the Enterprise Legal Services Division of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group.  I enjoyed this assignment very much.  During my strategic consulting internship, I was responsible for analyzing if the company should make changes to how Workers' Compensation litigation is handled in the state of New York.  Currently, all such suits are handled by outside counsel.  The company is considering hiring full-time legal staff in place of its outside counsel relationships.  I was asked to examine the impact of this change.  It required examining costs, legal outcomes for outside counsel vs. legal staff, process change, and other data metrics to determine the best solution for Liberty Mutual.  It was a well-rounded internship experience requiring the use of numerous analytical and interpersonal skills.
