Matthew Dahlquist graduated from California State University - Chico in 2004 with a B.A. in economics and a B.S. in business administration (finance).  Matthew has worked in various finance positions during the last five years in the telecommunications, health care, and mortgage industries.  Mostly recently, he worked for the wireless division of AT&T in Pleasanton, California as a senior financial analyst in the fixed assets department.  Among other things, his work entailed analyzing large data files in order to accurately determine capitalization schedules for network equipment.  Matthew worked closely with the operations directors and capital managers responsible for AT&T’s wireless network in the company’s West Region, as his department’s analysis had direct impact on the region’s capital budgets and profit and loss statements.  Previously, Matthew was employed as a financial analyst by Kaiser Permanente, a large not-for-profit HMO headquartered in Oakland, CA.  His responsibilities included project management for the asset management department’s statewide capital audit and analysis of fixed asset records.  Matthew hopes to leverage his work experience and knowledge gained from the Wisconsin MBA to secure a corporate finance position in treasury, planning/forecasting, or capital budgeting.
