Accounting Professor Nominated for National Accounting Education Award

Professor Weygandt
Accounting Professor Jerry Weygandt of the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Business had been nominated for a national award in accounting education by the Wisconsin Institute of CPAs (WICPA). Weygandt has been nominated for the 2002 AICPA Distinguished Achievement in Accounting Education Award. The award, given by the American Institute of CPAs, recognizes college accounting educators distinguished for excellence in teaching and for national prominence in the accounting profession.
Weygandt has taught undergraduate and graduate accounting courses at UW-Madison for more than 30 years and is a national leader in the field of accounting, having served as president of the American Accounting Association and on several key committees of the American Institute of CPAs. He already has received WICPA's Outstanding Educator Award and Lifetime Achievement in Accounting Education Award.
